Hey folks,
sorry for the long absence. I had a hell of a time at DragonCon last week. I managed to cosplay Agent 47 from the Hitman series and do a good job with it, and otherwise just fooled around and hung out with the ever entertaining Kato, Rin, Miss Morgane, and Biohazardous Misa as well as the entirety of the band Abney Park.
Of course, once I returned from the con, I came down with con-crud something horrible. I'm still recovering, in fact. I apologize for the silence as of late, but now you know why it happened. Enjoy these pictures from the con. I'm going to go sip some tea and go back to bed...

Nights and Upcoming Conventions
Hello again,
Lately I've been working at finishing Moribund for possible submission to an agent in the U.K., which is as exciting as it comes to me. If accepted, it will delay the release of the novel, but it will mean a larger release later. Don't worry, I won't forget you all. If this goes through, I'm planning some special surprises for you.
The project with Drawing in Dark continues. Karen has been keeping me up-to-date on developments on the artwork and we have discussions on the subject almost every other day. I think it's safe to say we're both excited about it and about the prospect of further collaborations. She is hoping to finish the piece and get prints made up in time for Dark Arts at the Bram Stoker Film Festival in Whitby, U.K. on October 22nd-25th. The prints will be sold alongside copies of the story that inspired it. If you're in the U.K. and enjoy horror and other fantastic things, you should give it a look and tell Karen I said hello.
Personally, I won't be able to make it to the United Kingdom for the film festival (at least, not this year), but I will be attending DragonCon in Atlanta on September 4th-7th and Steamposium in Seattle September 25th-27th. If you're in the vicinity of either event, keep an eye out for me. I'll be more than happy to talk to anyone and will likely have copies of my work for sale at both events.
I think that wraps it up for the moment. Back to writing for me.
Until next time

Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, I've decided to be proactive in making a living at my writing. To that end, I've made a Patreon account.
What's Patreon? It's a service which allows people to pay me for the things I create. The way I have my page set up, each time I release a new story or a completed chapter to my upcoming book, I will post it for you. You, in turn, will send me money for it.
How much? That's up to you. You can choose how much you want to send me, from $1 and up. Anything helps.
Why am I doing this? Well, simply put, I'm tired of breaking my back in manual labor jobs when I could be creating worlds instead. I'm far better with a pen than I will ever be with a hammer or with lugging things around, and I'm very skilled at both of those.
If you're interested in checking it out, the link is below. I've included a free sample of my work in the description of the page, for those of you who haven't had a chance to see my work.
Do give it a look.
A Gift for you all
The time has come. I've been told this is a rather insane way to promote my work, but then I am a writer. I feel like slowly losing my mind is expected of me.
To that end, I would like to announce that the first 70 people who order from my website with the promo code "GiveAway70" (remove the quotes) will receive $9.99 off their entire order. Incidentally, that's the entire price of my book. One might even say I'm giving away 70 books for the cost of shipping.
Yes, one might say exactly that.
Why am I giving away roughly $700 in books?
Simple. I feel that if someone reads my book of short stories, they will be more likely to read my future books as well. Besides, I love having people read my stories. I adore hearing how they made people feel. As for the $700 thing, I thought it appropriate.
Why isn't it just free?
Well, it is, kind of. See, I am in the writing business, and in that business one does not tend to make it rich unless one is both very talented and very lucky. Now, I grant you, I would like nothing more than to make a living off of my work, but right now I'm broke. By paying for shipping you are simply covering my costs to send it to you. Nothing more.
What about signed copies?
Signed copies will still have a $9.99 discount applied to them. Signed copies also come with bookmarks, take a little more time to get everything together, and I like to try to do something special with signed orders, so I'm afraid the extra few dollars for signed copies will have to stay. The extra cost is paying for the extra time I put into them. I hope nobody minds.
What about international orders?
People outside the United States will have to email me (SeanWalter.Author@Gmail.com) for shipping rates. I will try my best to find the cheapest way to send it to them. However, unless you are set on a signed copy, I would recommend ordering a copy from your local bookstore or on Amazon instead. It will be cheaper by around half.
That's all. Really. No catch. You don't even have to follow my page if you don't want to. I just want my words to reach as many people as possible. It would make me happy beyond measure.
Once again, the promo code to enter upon checkout is "GiveAway70" for the first 70 orders. After that, I'm pulling the plug. I'll likely even number the books, just for fun. Good luck to each of you. And I hope you enjoy my work.
